Teaching
Emily was drawn to become an educator because she believes knowledge and education play a significant role in improving lives. She strives to be genuine, caring, empathetic, respectful, and supportive while actively engaging learners in a meaningful and applicable manner. Her aspiration as an educator is to facilitate and support the learning needs of students; whether that be encouraging mastery, competence, skill development, critical thinking, or the inspiration of lifelong learning. She strongly believes in incorporating and utilizing student-centered concepts and activities. Maintaining each individual learner’s dignity is important to Emily, and she endeavors to create an environment that promotes feelings of safety, kindness, mutual respect, and collaboration.
