Beth Ammerman is a Family Nurse Practitioner who has engrained her clinical career in family practice. Because of her experiences with all age groups, Beth has provided health promotion, illness prevention, injury care and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses to a wide variety of patients over many years. As such, Beth’s scholarship focuses on translating clinical research and addressing policy issues that pertain to the health and well-being of primary care patients.

Dr. Ammerman’s teaching role at the University of Michigan includes teaching graduate nursing students both in the classroom and in the clinical setting. As a classroom instructor, Beth leads the role transition course, guiding RNs to APRN roles. In addition, Beth also has the opportunity to evaluate graduate students in their precepted clinical sites as well as directly precept students in her family practice office.
