Sep 03, 2020Tanaka Chavanduka, MPH, a research associate in the U-M School of Nursing's Center for Sexuality and Health Disparities, is among the first to receive a pilot grant as part of the presidential Arts Initiative, announced last fall by university president Mark Schlissel.
The initiative kicked off its startup phase in January 2020, and put out a request for proposals to all faculty, students and staff at U-M’s three campuses in February. Who gets to live? How doctors make impossible decisions as COVID-19 surges
Jul 27, 2020Eighteen states are currently in what’s considered the “red zone” by the White House coronavirus task force, meaning they had more than 100 new cases per 100,000 people last week. Additionally, 14 states currently have more than 70 percent of their ICU capacity occupied.
