Celebrating our graduates
While this year’s celebration may look different, taking the time to honor our U-M School of Nursing graduates has never been more important. Even though we can’t be together in person, every member of our community, from faculty and staff to alumni and friends, is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of our graduating class. Remember that this is the Year of the Nurse and the Midwife, a year when nurses are on the front lines around the world. Our graduates are already sought-after as Michigan nurses, and right now, their knowledge, skills and leadership are needed more than ever.
On our graduate celebration website, you can view photos, videos, messages, profiles and other content commemorating the experiences of our 2020 graduates and celebrating the success of all those who have earned their degree from the U-M School of Nursing this spring.
When you visit the website, you will find:
- The U-M School of Nursing Celebration of Graduates video, featuring images and video clips submitted by 2020 graduates.
- A library of heartfelt video messages for BSN, MSN, DNP and Ph.D. graduates from the faculty members who have helped guide them through their journeys at the School of Nursing.
- Photos and messages from the graduates themselves, highlighting some of the memories, mentors and moments that shaped their experience at the School of Nursing.
- A list of 2020 award recipients, recognizing their leadership, ambition and academic accomplishments.
- Profiles of our DNP and Ph.D. graduates with details about their important research and scholarship.
We have also been celebrating our graduates on social media over the last two weeks and will continue to do so through May 2. We encourage you to follow our social feeds and share your own congratulatory messages, advice or words of encouragement by using the hashtags #UMichNursing and #MGoGrad on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
We know this is not the way we expected to close out the winter term, but I’m glad that in these unprecedented circumstances we can still find ways to come together in celebration.
To our graduates: It took countless hours of hard work and dedication for you to reach this moment. Be proud of what you have achieved, and be successful in all your future endeavors.
Congratulations to the U-M School of Nursing Class of 2020, and GO BLUE!
