UMSN Proud to Uphold Top Ten Ranking
The University of Michigan School of Nursing (UMSN) continues to be recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the nation's best graduate schools.
For the second year in a row, UMSN is ranked as the 8th best master’s program in the country for 2020, tied with Rush and Vanderbilt Universities. In addition, four specific UMSN graduate programs are ranked in the top 20:
- DNP #14
- Adult-Gerontology Primary Care #10
- Primary Care Family Nurse Practitioner #9
- Nursing Administration #9
The DNP ranking is noteworthy as it moved up four spots from #18 in 2019. UMSN’s primary care family nurse practitioner also advanced one spot from #10 to #9.
Not all specialty programs are ranked every year. UMSN was named a number one nursing school for midwifery in 2016. Midwifery is ranked every five years.
The data for the rankings come from a statistical survey and from reputation surveys conducted in fall 2018 and early 2019.
