Ph.D. student receives grant to support research in Zambia

Julie Buser, Ph.D. candidate at University of Michigan School of Nursing, received the Bobbe and Jon Bridge Award for Engaged Scholarship to support her original research in Zambia.

The award comes to her from Rackham Graduate School. Bobbe and Jon Bridge Awards for Engaged Scholarship support Rackham students who conduct research focused on child welfare.

Buser's dissertation focuses on global child health, in particular, neonatal health and maternity waiting homes in Zambia.
