The University of Michigan School of Nursing (UMSN) is pleased to begin the new year by welcoming two new faculty members.
Dr. Massy Mutumba was promoted from research fellow to assistant professor in UMSN’s Health Behavior and Biological Sciences department. Dr. Mutumba's research focuses on the well-being of children and adolescents living with HIV and AIDS. Her work addresses self-management and mental health in people with HIV, with a concentration on populations in Africa. Her research on sexual reproductive health focuses on understanding the individual, community and institutional barriers to modern contraceptive methods in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Dr. Sheria G. Robinson-Lane joins UMSN’s Systems, Populations and Leadership department as an assistant professor. Most recently, Dr. Robinson-Lane was a post-doctoral fellow in the U-M School of Medicine Advanced Rehabilitation Research Training Program in Community Living.
