Doctoral Candidate Granted Funds from Institute for Research on Women and Gender
Carmen Alvarez wins graduate student research award.
University of Michigan School of Nursing doctoral candidate, Carmen Alvarez, received an award from the University of Michigan Institute for Research on Women and Gender (IRWG). According to Janet Malley, the associate director of the IRWG, the award recognizes the institute’s appreciation of Carmen’s fine scholarship in the area of women and gender studies. This funding constitutes part of the institute’s efforts to provide “stimulation, coordination and support for research on women and gender at the University of Michigan."
