Alum Appointed to National Healthcare Workforce Commission

University of Michigan School of Nursing alum, Peter Buerhaus, who earned his master's degree in 1981, was appointed to serve as Chair of the National Healthcare Workforce Commission. This commission acts as a resource to Congress and the Administration on the challenges facing the healthcare workforce. To the commission, Dr. Buerhaus brings experience as a professor of nursing and the director of the Center for Interdisciplinary Health Workforce Studies, Institute for Medicine and Public Health at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
